How do i get mp3s off a micro sd card to set as a ringtone?

i have a LG VX8350 and i want to set the mp3s i have on my card as ringtones. how can i do this?

send the file to yourself as a message when you receive it the phone will save it in the right place for ring tones then just find and select it.
